Woodstock Farmers MarketLooking for something to do this spring and summer in and around Woodstock. There’s always something going on, live music on the village green at town's center, gallery openings, concerts or festivals. Mower's Saturday Market is a great place to browse art from local jewelry makers, buy some funky second-hand clothing, or costume jewelry. Woodstock is home to great little boutiques. Clothing, unique toys, crystals, incense, vintage clothing, art, books and unique footwear are just some of the wears you'll find. Enjoy plenty of great restaurants from traditional American, Middle Eastern, Italian, Chinese, Mexican eateries, plus a few organic, veggie places.
Plans are underway for the 4th Annual Woodstock Farm Festival which will kick off on Wednesday, June 1st at 3:30pm. This year promises to bring an even greater variety of farm fresh produce from local farms, plus educational events, children’s activities, musical performances, workshops and more. Every Wednesday June 1 - October 26, 2011 3:30pm - dusk / rain or shine celebrate farmers and the community with fresh local produce, outdoor dining, kids activities, special events and music, Maple Lane in Woodstock, NY.

Woodstock Farmers Market

The World’s Largest Kaleidoscope located at 146 Mount Pleasant Rd. in Mount Tremper, at Emerson Place. Experience the ever-changing colors as they dance across the ceiling of a converted barn silo. Put to music, this light show extravaganza captivates audiences with a rainbow of colors and sounds that is truly magical. Open Friday through Monday, 10 a.m. to 5:30p.m.

Overlook Mountain is surely one of the most interesting in all of the Catskills. Its close proximity to Woodstock has made it a popular destination for tourists. Although the Overlook Mountain Wild Forest only covers 590 acres, its rocky slopes make for a very interesting day hike. In addition to providing a habitat for the timber rattlesnake, a protected species that only lives in one other area of the Catskills, the summit is covered with red oaks (trees usually found on lower slopes and in valleys, not 3,100' above sea level), and some red spruce/balsam fir trees (those typical over 3,300').

Experience the thrill of whitewater inner tubing and kayaking down the Esopus creek, at Town Tinker Tube Rental- 10 Bridge St. in Phoenicia, the ultimate summer fun for adults and children 12 years and older. Open May 27 through September 30th, daily, 9am to 6pm.  Located in the heart of the Catskill Mountains is a five-mile stretch of river that has become one of the most popular tubing courses around. People come from all over to ride the rapids and drift with the current as the Esopus Creek winds through the beautiful mountains and greenery of the Catskills.
