I always become saddened when the time of year comes around when the different famers markets in Ulster County close for the winter. I was thrilled to hear that there is now a winter farmers market that is open December through April, every first and third Saturday from 10am-2pm. It is located indoors, meaning rain or shine at Bethany Hall of the Old Dutch Church in Uptown Kingston, 328 Wall Street, Kingston, NY 12401. There are 20 different vendors with items ranging from vegetables, meats, breads, milk, olive oil, wine, arts and crafts and so much more! This Saturday will feature Chef Ef, who will be making amazing seafood dishes in honor of Mardi Gras. Don’t miss it! For more information click here.

While in Kingston, NY there is an area on the waterfront called the Rondout. This area, while small definitely has a huge amount of character. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 and offers row house style apartments for rent and condo conversions for sale. The architecture ranges from Victorian, Federal, Greek Revival, Gothic, Italianate, Romanesque, Queen Anne, Renaissance Revival, and Colonial Revival. If you are vacationing, you simply cannot leave without seeing the Rondout.

There are many area attractions and activities in this part of Kingston, NY. Visit the trolley museum, the nautical museum, and art galleries, many of the shops, restaurants or flower gardens. The marina is a local hot spot in the summer
